Are you preparing to take a driving theory test but are concerned your command of Portuguese may not be good enough?
Let us bring you some peace of mind by providing a translation of the test so that you can focus on what really matters.
The IMT allows tests for the following vehicle categories to be translated: AM, A1, A2, A, B1 and B.
We currently provide this service into English and French.
Our team handling the translation of driving theory tests includes native English and French linguists who are experts on the matter and have considerable experience. They have been approved by the Translations Department at the IMT to provide this service.
A request to have a driving theory test translated should be submitted to the Exam Centre by the person who will be taking the test or by their driving school and must include our company’s statement of appointment of the translator.
The IMT has set specific days and times for these tests, which usually take place on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and Thursday afternoons.
The translation process takes place without any contact between the person taking the test and our translator.
On the date scheduled for you to take the test, the IMT sends us a test to translate, which we then return to the IMT before the time scheduled for you to take your test.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you would like to know more about the IMT’s procedure for the translation of driving theory tests.
